Maw’s Mountain Moonshine is named in honor of one of the owner's beloved grandmothers, Maw. The distillery is designed with all the charm and warmth of an authentic country setting, capturing the essence of mountain traditions. When you visit, you’ll feel like part of the family, as if Maw herself is just around the corner, cooking up a batch of shine—of course, for medicinal purposes only! Our family has basked in the Florida sunshine for over fifteen years, but the Appalachian Mountains will always be home.
We come from a long line of moonshiners who were making the good stuff in the hearts of Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia,
and West Virginia for generations.
When you visit Maw's, make sure you take a look at the picture of our moonshining family, it shows three generations of dedicated moonshiners who are the root of every jar we make today. Just like our family before us, everyone is welcome to come sit a spell, pick a little music, and sip on our ‘shine. After all, we are all family around here.
